Textpattern has caused WebDav to stop working on Dreamhost

My current .htaccess file in the root of my server has caused WebDAV to stop working. I found a soloution for textDrive users here but this soloution does not work for Dreamhost. Any Ideas?

I’m also hosted with Dreamhost, so I’m also interested in this question,
and more generally to .htaccess, WebDAV, and how to make txp:password_protect work with DH.

I think all these questions are related, somehow.
