TXP Borderline Chaos
I think somebody has blown the paint factory up! Looks fine to me in FF1.0.7, IE6 and Opera 8.5.1 all on Windows. Shout if you see any problems. Mac users always welcome. :)

Re: TXP Borderline Chaos
I really like this.
It would be ideal for a children website.
One problem, i tried IE 5.5 (i know is very old) and the main box doesn’t align right but it goes at the bottom of the page.
Also, i found it a bit difficult to read the menu when you hover the mouse. The contrast between the background color and the menu it’s not ideal (e.g. sections and links). Nevertheless i really like the way you have done the menu.
One last thing. Since it might be used for children, i would like to see the main box organised in a way where inserting images would fit with the rest of the layout.
thanks for your hard work

Re: TXP Borderline Chaos
Thanks oldi. See if that’s any better for IE5.5. I don’t like to mess with the style too much. The idea is to try and present it as close to the original as possible whilst using a bit of TXP magic to improve functionality.
I’m not sure what you mean in that last bit. Are you talking about image syling with the heavy borders and such?

Re: TXP Borderline Chaos
Still the same problem with IE 5.5
have a look here to see what i get.

As for images, i thought to have some kind of image boxes inside the main box (whether horizontaly, vertically, or similiar to the menu boxes that are align slightly offside) that will have the same style with heavy borders, etc.
to be honest, this is one of my favorites out of all your collection.

Nice one. I’m working on one a little bit similar for a client, I will take deep look at yours ;->

Glad you like it. If you want to see any of the templates for code let me know. Watch it in Win IE5.5 though. It looks a total mess. I’ve just installed a standalone and it’s simply… urrghhhh!

Re: TXP Borderline Chaos
I’ve already got mine :) It’s just going now from an idea to something that is both pleasant to look and elegant to use for the non-geek viewers. But I may take some idea from yours ;)
Yours seems still on beta stage though. The hyperlinks styles are not quite unified… oh, and the quite-3d thing on some hyperlinked headers don’t fit with the theme of the template I think.

Yes I’m going to look at the menu and probably go white for the links to match the footer after what oldi said above. I was debating with the article titles whether to use a grey block like the metabox on the back-page. Don’t forget though that I prefer to stay as close as possible to the original. Mind you, if it improves it I can’t see a big problem.

Re: TXP Borderline Chaos
I have viewed it with Safari 1.3 and all seems to be right.
Perhaps the underlined name of the sections is confusing (it is not a link).
Bye.
