How would I rename my admin directory?
Hello I am new here and don’t know how to find if this is posted here before.
However I installed a textpattern web and running well. Now the problem is where ever I need to log in to my admin panel I need to write http://mysite.com/textpattern that I don’t want. I want to rename that textpatter to root or something which I would like to. I tried changing it by renaming but I doesn’t work.
I will appreciate any help. Thanks in Advance.

I’m not 100% sure on this but if you change the name of the /textpattern/ directory you will need to go to your config.php file and change the path to textpattern in there as well. I’m not sure if that’s all there is to it though.

That doesn’t work, first I tried doing that.
