Just FYI: there’s already some tentative work in the 4.1 branch towards nested sections, which will probably make /section/category URLs both superfluous and unnecessarily complex.
Hooray! I can’t wait to see some nesting. Been wanting s/c/title URLs since my first TXP site but nested sections would be just as well.

not sure what J & zem got going, but if I can interrupt… don’t want hard fast dates, but wondering if this is likely to be a sooner rather than later addition : )
cos I’m ready to admit defeat on working with section/category for generating a big dynamic ‘static’ site

I just googled “section/category/title textpattern” to determine the current state of Textpattern development in this area and was surprised to that my forum post tops the list. I am also encouraged to discover that there is development on a far better solution for introduction in 4.1. I would much rather this elegant solution than my superfluous and unnecessarily complex hack. Thanks, zem, for the FYI on the nested sections. I can’t wait to start working with 4.1!

gbp_permanent_link does a pretty good job at accomplishing /section/category/title urls if you can live with aplugin for now.
