Unable to save edits in older articles

Background: the database has been moved form MySql 4.0.25 to 4.1.13-max-log some time ago. Apparently everything went fine. Data shows up correctly, etc, etc.

Problem though: I can no longer edit and save some older articles, not even every article, but some articles. Editing templates and forms works correctly.

When we moved the DB, period was approx 28 october, TXP then current version (402+, rev something).

Firefox returns just a blank page, no error or warning. Safari is a bit more helpfull, and returns the following message:

Safari can’t open the page “http://emps.l-c-n.com/textpattern/index.php” because it could not load any data from this location.

Suggestions, options ? (a shotgun maybe… -^)?)

Re: Unable to save edits in older articles

This looks a lot like a problem I had last year. I hope for you it’s not the same…

‘repair table’ sounds like a good start.

You know, maybe I’m stupid… I had done a ‘repair table’, but only on the ‘textpattern’ table (which stores the articles, right ?).

I’ve now done a ‘repair table’ on all tables, this seems to have solved the problem – at least I now could edit/save those two articles I wanted to edit.

Now heading back to phpMyAdmin for an extra back-up, just in case.
