Sort file lists by date
I am kind of reserrecting this post re: sorting file lists. I’m doing it on bended knee, as such a feature would be incredibly useful to several sites I publish with TXP.
The main aim is to simply list the newest files at the top.
I now know that you can display <code><txp:file_download_modified /></code> – so this date is presumably stored in the DB (?). So hence I’m hoping that either a plugin or TXP features can be developed to sort on this date.
Any ideas – anyone?

I think I’m right in saying that the date isn’t stored in the database, it’s picked up from the file itself. Whether that is restrictive or not I couldn’t say. :(

ah – if it is picked up from the file itself then that probably would be restrictive… unless there is a genius out there who knows otherwise.
Thanks for the tip – I might go off and actually have a look at the TXP DB for one :) Never no I might learn something!

Well I did learn something (mainly that I am stupid…)
I can sort on ID – which will give me the order I am after… doh!
