Site was hacked...how do I

Find out how? Are there any security holes for the 4.0.2 version that are known?

EDIT: Sorry after reading again, my post sounded like I was blaming txp for the hack…I was not at all. :)

Did you remove the /setup folder after setting up your site, like the instructions direct?

There are no known security issues in Textpattern 4.0.2. I’ve sent you an email, follow up there for now please.

Without knowing how it got there, you don’t know whether Txp is responsible or not.

Regardless, I would say your first order of business is changing ALL your site’s passwords, from your ftp, to your database user, to your cpanel (or equiv. host-provided website admin panel).

Yeah you’re definitely right. I didn’t mean to come off sounding as though I was blaming txp earlier…I was just a little upset. I am not blaming anyone at this point, just hoping to find some answers.

Thanks
