Re: OlgaSmith.com
Hey, thanks. Small correction though: My wife and I live in the United States, but she’s Russian and is from Estonia. So, unless you want to start an Estonia category, you can just put her site under the US heading. :)

Very nice, and Olga’s writing voice is just as soothing as the design.

Nathan,
Great job man. Its always fun to design for the family.
Hard to find time, but fun to get into.
Matthew
ps. Is that JS running the photosblog part? If so what script? (if you care to share?)
Oops, just read the writeup!

Re: OlgaSmith.com
Im also imppressed – AND very after that SimpleViewer implementation you’ve made. Very nice job. Guess you boght it from AirTight, and then wrapped it in some way. Care for an instruction?

Re: OlgaSmith.com
Yaform – SimpleViewer is free from AirTight actually. All I did was set TXP to dump image uploads to the corrosponding directory that I installed SimpleViewer to. So, instead of uploading to:
example.com/images/
I changed it to:
example.com/fotos/images
In there, I have an index.htm file that uses the same CSS as the rest of the Textpattern-driven site. So, while this means no on-the-fly changes via the TXP interface to the /fotos/index.htm page, it does make it easier for her to upload photos. I’ve made her a little bookmarklet in Firefox, so that after she’s done uploading, she can click the “Rebuild Gallery” shortcut, which rebuilds the XML file for the gallery, and then they all pull into SimpleViewer after that.
