how do I find the absolute url to my image?
I uploaded an image: background.jpg to my image-category: website but I cant find the exact url to my image, is there a way to see this? I have to use messy linking to my pages, dont know if that helps. If there are no function to see the exact url to a specific image maybe someone can create such a plugin, it would be great to have.
I have tried:
/images/background.jpg
/website/images/background.jpg
/images/website/background.jpg
none of them work, I want to see where it is stored so I dont have to guess. would make it more user friendly.

In the images tab, click on one of the ‘XHTML’ links and it’ll show you the URL. Remember that Textpattern renames your images with a number.

Re: how do I find the absolute url to my image?
nice thanks, it worked. why does it rename the images? is it because of spaces on the names. You cant really relate to a number if you have several images. would be better if it switched all spaces with a “_”

The numbers are the id’s used in the database. If you don’t want them renamed don’t upload them via the admin interface but ftp them to your image directory. But then you won’t be able to see them in the images tab nor assign images to articles.

will try that, I only use these images on the css. so it should be alright to ftp them to my directory directly. will see how that works.
EDIT: it worked! will upload the images for designing via Ftp and article images through the cms
