Is it possible to...
Make TXP do the following (via plug-ins or hacks):
- have users to be able to register themselves as editors
- keep said users in a “hold” status until the publisher authorizes them to post
- have each user to be able to publish a personal profile (via custom fields, like: name, last name, address, city, phone, work address, so on…) but in an easier way than using the internal “write” interface. I was thinking at a custom form
- have password protected sections with log-in info that are the same as TXP log-in info (name and password)
Thanks,
-Neko

Re: Is it possible to...
Anything is possible with a hack/mod. It’s a question of how much work to do it.
- Yes. Plugin.
- Yes. Partial hack (modify database), plugin.
- Yes. Partial hack (modify database), plugin.
- What do you mean password protect? As in the public section url (http://your-site.com/section) is password protected? Yes. Partial hack (modify database).
It is quite a bit of work though, not something you can just slap together in a couple minutes.

I mean that if you’re not an approved member-editor you’re not allowed to browse and read contents of that particular section.
Thanks Mary. I’m asking because I have this client with a site published with TXP but now would like to add the features I listed above. Now that you confirmed it’s doable, I was wondering if there is a TXP coder that would like to take this payed job.
