After a long, long process of learning textpattern, about 6 design mock-ups and a hellish hair-tearing battle with css, I am relieved to have finally launched a new design for my athletics club. I doubt anyone in the club will appreciate the effort, but it’s been extremely satisfying for me.

It’s my first textpattern site (first with any CMS) and I am truly converted – Textpattern has me hooked. The site also uses PunBB, fairly heavily modified in terms of style and layout.

I’d appreciate it if you could have a look and let me know of any errors in browsers other than IE6 and Firefox, as that’s all I’ve got to test with.

Many thanks to the forum members who have helped me out, without you I would have given up on textpattern long ago.

very well done, nothing to complain about – just one sitenote: some photographs and/or illustrations would increase the sites attractiveness, i persume.

works perfect in Opera 8.5

@alexandra: yes, you’re right about the lack of photos, I will probably add a few as time goes on. Although I’m not sure that photo’s of my club-mates would make the site more attractive… :)

@Infi: The punbb integration was much easier after I stopped trying to hack the pun css. Once I did the styling from scratch it all fell into place without too much trouble. I have copied a couple of bits from the default stylesheet (IIRC, mainly section 5 from base.css) but the rest is just my table styling that is used on the whole site.

Its a really good site. Lots of really useful information. Congratulations! You can tell how much effort you’ve put in because it just works. :)

As alexandra has said, some pictures wouldn’t go amiss.

Some plugins that help me with images include bau_article_thumb, glx_admin_image_resize and upm_img_popper.
