Re: Publishing Arabic Text

To CENCER and ZEN;

OK, turning MBSTRING .encoding_translation to OFF did it.

Now you can see Arabic using TEXTP on Linux Fedora 4 as well as WIN 2k server as it should be.

Thanks

I will be back with some more questions as I try to develop the site.

Re: Publishing Arabic Text

well i think he needs Language encoding from utf-8 to windows-1256

Also he needs the page directional code which is mostly like

BODY { direction : rtl; text-align: right;

}

After every thing suppose to be fine.

By the way I’m working on ARABIC translation

Re: Publishing Arabic Text

This was resolved with the mbstring configuration setting. windows-1256 is not the right solution.

The CSS code is helpful, thanks. I’ll add something to the FAQ.

Re: Publishing Arabic Text

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I was just trying to figure out where php.ini is in the installation on TextDrive? I am having the same problems in Japanese.
