Layout problems in IE
I wonder if anyone can help. My newly completed site looks fine in Firefox, but suffers layout issues in IE. For example – the content of the sidebar is pushed to the bottom of the screen and the header is not lining up. Im sure the solution is straight forward but I dont want to tinker too much and threaten the layout in Firefox.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Re: Layout problems in IE
From an “alpha level” to another. IE is not very friendly with the standars. Your problem is very usual. To find the answers, make a search at Google, something like “IE hack” and you will find the solutions, some lines of extra code you need to add to your css file in order to force Explorer (5,6,7 each one has its own problems) render accurately the layout.
A good reason to encourage people to use Firefox.

I haven’t looked at your code for long, but is it a problem with the box model and floats?
It looks like the floating right-hand column is too wide in IE to float upwards. Try making it narrower and see what happens. Have you got the dev toolbars for both IE and FF? they really help comparing what each browser is doing.
