if_category & messy links
A quick question about the if_category conditional tag…
Does it work if messy permanent links are NOT enabled???

Yes, in a page where the category is part of the page URL. Just using the <code><txp:if_category></txp:if_category></code> with no attributes will simply ask if you are in a category. Using something like <code><txp:if_category name=“SomeCategory”></txp:if_category></code> will ask if you are in that specific category. It also works with the <code><txp:else /></code> tag and all of that applies the <code><txp:if_section></code> tags as well.
