"Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by"
Hi everyone, this is my first post here.
This is the first time installing Text Pattern, and its a new fresh db. I’m looking for a good CMS and I’m hoping I’ve found it with TextPattern, but not everything is smooth yet. I’m getting an error on my page with TP, it states “Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/ramsayst/public_html/index.php:8) in /home/ramsayst/public_html/textpattern/lib/txplib_misc.php on line 1228
Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/ramsayst/public_html/index.php:8) in /home/ramsayst/public_html/textpattern/publish.php on line 430”

It looks like you have make modifications to your index.php file. That’s not how textpattern works. Please revert to the orignial files from the distribution.

Ok I’m just sort of learning that here, I didn’t realize you have to edit TP from within, I kinda thought you could bring the code for TP into your already-made site …
I guess my next question is can you use your own page editor application (Dreamweaver) to edit your pages or does everything have to be done within the TP admin interface?

No, currently you can only work with the web-editor, i.e. you have to copy and paste your stuff into the pages (i.e. section templates).
