Forum broken in FF 1.0.7 for Linux : anyone care to explain ?

I have recently dropped Windows for Linux with the advent of SuSE 10.0, which comes with Firefox 1.0.7… I had the unpleasant surprise to discover this forum is simply *broken* while it’s not with Konqueror… too bad since I won’t use Konqueror and quite a bit of my browsing time is on these very forums :-| (Edit : Installed Opera 8.5 for Linux, works perfectly fine…)

Anyone can tell me how come Firefox 1.0.7 Windows works while FF 1.0.7 “breaks” this forum css… I am startled <:-o

What exactly is breaking? I use Firefox 1.0.7 in Kubuntu with no problems.

I have launched a test with browershots.org for the textpattern forum, but the queue was full, I don’t have screen captures yet.

It seems that floats are “cleared”, some elements are overlapping too… From what you say, I guess it’s coming from the SuSE packaged version or whatever Linux subtleties I might not understand… In the meantime, I am using Opera 8.5 which works perfectly…

Yeah, it’s got to be something specific to SuSE’s package, because I’m not seeing any problems at all.

Ok thanks for the feedback !

I’ll just re-install FF from the Mozilla file, and get back to you
