config.php is not ok or not found
config.php is not ok or not found. If you would like to install, go to [/subdir]/textpattern/setup/
but it’s fine and the setup isn’t there anymore /I’ve deleted it as said.

(Edit: updated title to something more useful, marked as resolved. :) -Mary)

Your main installation is at
http://www.mcville.net/
your login is at:
http://www.mcville.net/textpattern/
both seem to work. Good.
When I call http://www.mcville.net/news it redirects me to http://www.mcville.net/news/ (with the slash at the end). This means that you probably have made a directory news, and (I’m guessing here) you copid the index.php into that directory. This is wrong. With textpattern, you do not create any more directories or files, everything is handled from within textpattern.

Yes. With Textpattern you don’t have to create files or directories. You might want to read this article to get an idea of how Textpattern works.

Re: config.php is not ok or not found
P,
The only files you need to create or edit are config.php and (maybe) .htaccess. You don’t need to create files or directories once Textpattern is installed. Everything else is done via the Textpattern admin panel.
If you find yourself editing files or creating directories for Textpattern content, you’re barking up the wrong tree.
Probably what you want is to create a section called “news”.
As well as the page D recommended, you should read this FAQ, I’ve installed Textpattern. Now what?. It gives a quick overview of sections, templates and so on.

Re: config.php is not ok or not found
Try to get your page valid first. There are issues with the validator link (best url to use is http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=referer) and the flickr table and links. The validation results give you enough information about what tags you should fix.
Edit: questions like this are better posted in the Layout and CSS forum.
