Can you add support for the Flock browser blog software.

Re: Flock Browser Support
It’s all the Web 2.0 buzzwords rolled into a browser.
Probably what this person is asking for is support for posting via MetaWeblog or Blogger API, since I think Flock has some sort of built-in weblog posting tool. However, there are two logical responses to this:
- Such support already exists in plugins.
- If you’re already in your web browser, what are you gaining by pressing a button to open a “post to blog” dialog versus, oh, actually going to your site to make a post?

Re: Flock Browser Support
I would hold off on that for a while. flock is still under development and is nowhere near a finished product. it is quite possible that the problem will work itself out as the program itself matures more.

Re: Flock Browser Support
Not to mention seeing if its popular enough that it would be worth creating support for. :)

What? Being the most-hyped thing since push technology doesn’t count in its favor?

Re: Flock Browser Support
hype usually leads to failure most of the time.
plus supporting such specific software would probably be best left to the plugin writers.

Re: Flock Browser Support
If I’m understanding this correctly, it’s not a request to support a single specific piece of software. It’s a request to have support for either the Blogger or MetaWeblog APIs rolled into the core of TXP, so that any client which speaks those protocols (and there are plenty) can be used as a remote posting interface.

Re: Flock Browser Support
I think ubernostrum has the right idea. This has been discussed many a time, and it probably should be integrated into Textpattern one of these days (there already is a plugin, but supposedly, it’s not very active).

Re: Flock Browser Support
I have to agree with ubernostrum though that if you are already in your browser it seems silly to be clicking a couple of buttons to get to the Flock blogging app. when the same couple of clicks would get you into your TXP admin. /-(
