Re: Use categories
Excellent, thanks a lot for your help.
Could you please explain what you did. I noticed that you added
<code><txp:if_section name=“discussion”>
<txp:article_custom section=“discussion” form=“Single” status=“sticky” limit=1 />
</txp:if_section>
<txp:if_section name=“contact”>
<txp:article_custom section=“contact” form=“Single” status=“sticky” limit=1 />
</txp:if_section></code>
Is this that made the difference? Or did you change something else?
Thanks a lot for being so patient

Re: Use categories
I did send you an email but those are to ensure you get the correct sticky in those sections. The third sticky is down between the “if_frontpage” tags.
It’s really down to your using the same template for everything you’ve done so far. You need to give TXP a helping hand by telling it what to do in the different sections, otherwise it just gets plain old confused. :grin:

Re: Use categories
Hi
Have been following this thread as have been experiencing same problems also using Leaf template with no success either.
Been changing bits and pieces with combinations of glx_if and if_categories etc following thread but either get articles on frontpage and in category or a blank page altogether.
What trying to achieve is displaying only articles in category clicked.
What is confusing is creating sections for the articles as well as adding them to a category. If they are within a section then they could be called by creating column links to the section by-passing the use of categories; or am I missing something fundamental or just not using the right tag structure?

Re: Use categories
Well the easiest way to sort this out tends to be for you to give me a login then I can see exactly what you have done cuz this is a mixture of how you have the sections setup, how you have your templates coded and what bits you want on the front-page and it gets difficult trying to do it from here. Once done I’ll explain any changes by email. :)
