Block my own IP from showing up in the logs...
I test my site from my own machine, and so far my IP acounts for the majority of hits in the logs under the admin tab.
Also, is there any way to display the logs in a more pleasant easy to read format that’s a tad easier to gether information from, at a glance…
I used Wordpress before this, and the only thing I miss is the way the ShortStat plug-in for Wordpress displayed it’s information… it listed in columns: unique hits, total hits, popular pages(sections, articles), recent/repeat refferers, browser/platform/country/language information…
is there anything like a plug in for TXP that’ll do something like this?
If Not, I’d settle for not having to read logs of my own hits to my site with my own browser…

Use <a href=“http://www.textpattern.de/hacks/10/admin-mit-shortstat-erweitern”>shortstat in Txp</a> (not sure, if it works in Txp 4)
Or perhaps the <a href=“http://forum.textpattern.com/viewtopic.php?id=11457”>hit logger</a> plugin might be for you.

Re: Block my own IP from showing up in the logs...
Thanks for the quick reply. I installed HitLogger, and though it’s not pretty (…yet, I know it’s in “alpha” testing) It certainly gets the job done…
However I’m afraid that my site is not so popular as I’ve got many stats to look at yet.
Thanks!
