Re: NaNoWriMo 2005

I did it last year. Well, I was cajoled into starting, anyway, by a cousin. But I can’t yet wrap my head around the idea of quantity being more important than quality :) It’s a character defect of mine.

Re: NaNoWriMo 2005

the whole point is to get it all out, so that when you edit you find the best parts, since they come out with the bad. it really does make sense, but you kind of have to throw yourself at it.

Me! First time!

I will be traveling from Calif to Thailand for 10 days during this time, too!

What fun! <—- sarcasm

I went there to check it out. Hey, it looks very cool, especially for NaNoWriMo types that might be away from home!

Are you open for business? Where do you see Webpen going?

My only concern is some bored web admin peeking at my trash lucid prose for a few laughs.

Re: NaNoWriMo 2005

hah. i don’t read anyone’s stuff other than quick glance to make sure it’s not all “here’s a test ‘cause i can’t be bother to really use something”.

i have plans for webpen, yes, but i don’t know how quickly they’ll get there (what with nano coming up and all). i plan on adding a lot more character development and plotting tools (i’m thinking timelines, at some point), and i’d like to add in some simple publishing features, so people can show off what they’ve written.

Great! Is there chat about it in the nano forums? I haven’t lurked over there yet but probably should…
