How can I allow submissions with control?
I’m trying to create a review site that will allow the users to submit a review under their own name once they register on the site, but the review not to be posted until I approve it.
The user needs to be able to format the review, as they choose to, allow them to add an article image, along with up to 3 images if the review is for a film or game within that review.
What would be the best way to achieve this? They need to register with approval first as well. So they would submit their user name and password, with perhaps a a few sentences on what they like reviewing. Whenever a submission is logged, untiL i view and approve it remains in the wings as it were. However, I want the review to be published under the user’s name of whoever submitted. i guess i could use a custom field called name which would have that users name display. Would also want it to have a matching gravatar, so if the name is called it pulls up the gravatar if available for tha tuser or maybe something local.
Below is a rough quick mock of what I want to try to achieve, or something that best fits that need.
Thanks in advance

sekhu, manfre’s doing some great work on this kind of functionality – community driven textpattern
still beta but why not jump in and have a go – see the front page of his site for the moderation plugins – and I think it helps the developers to get some feedback and enthusiasm behind ‘em, they’re only human (true) and I’ve been a little slack myself with implementing manfre’s code

Maybe I’m missing something, but if you sign them up as freelancers (ie without posting rights), and display their pieces with a byline, what else do you need? A plain-vanilla TxP install will do that for you, no plugins or custom fields required.
Looks nice, Manfre’s stuff does.
