Title in all navigation tags

Hi!

How do I add title that shows when mouse over to all different tags like

<code><txp:link_to_previous > | <txp:link_to_next >
<txp:older > | <txp:newer >
<txp:link_to_home> </code>

…so for example when mouse over link_to_home it says “Back to frontpage”, older says “To previous” etc.

Re: Title in all navigation tags

You can’t, I’m afraid, those particular tags are all-in-one, unlike permlink. I’ve just made a patch to correct this, so it won’t be available now, but hopefully will when the next release arrives (whenever that is).

For link_to_home, you can make use of site_url.

Re: Title in all navigation tags

:( …Yes, I did search for it from wiki and tested all kind of options with label=”…” and title=”…” etc. but still hoped there would be some way to do this.

So this will be added to future releases? It is a small thing but kinda important thing when thinking of usability and accessibility.

Thank you Mary from your quick response!

Re: Title in all navigation tags

The patch I’ve sent in makes these three tags act link permlink: the ability to return just the url so you can build your links however you want. Whether my specific one will get added I don’t know, but just sending in a patch increases the likelihood of it being added (as opposed to just asking for it). :)

As already pointed out, you can’t, for now :-(.

An alternative is to use the zem_nav and zem_link (grab the patched versions by Wet) plugins.

I agree, it would be good to have that kind of things build in.

Re: Title in all navigation tags

I don´t agree about it been built in if you mean built in same way like permalink that it can be configuragle only from lang file what mouse over says.

But I do want a to have ability to set these titles if I need to :) There is a difference.

I do agree some points in this discussion that there are too many things desided for you.

I want to have option about comment preview, I want to use different comment forms to popups and Single, option to set wheter comments use html and etc.

Yes, I know that most of those things can be achieved with different plugins and I´m not going back to MT or WP ´cause then TXP has so many good other things in it. But I need more options for customising the publishing platform.

I mean’t, build in as: option for the txp-user to add a configurable title attribute tot those links. This can be achieved now with the plugins I mentioned above. But it si abasic functionality of links, especially for paging, that would be good to have.
