Bad cookie prevents login
I scrapped a test setup of textpattern I had to restart from scratch. After running setup.php and before attempting to login, I got an error message of “bad cookie” on the login screen.
I assumed when I logged in that TXP would create a new “good cookie”. However, the bad cookie completely prevented login.
To fix it, I deleted the old cookie, easy enough to do in Safari; don’t know about other browsers. Then it worked fine. Might want to consider having TXP ignore/delete/replace bad cookies.

Re: Bad cookie prevents login
How do you delete the bad cookies from Safari? I’ve been trying to figure this out to no avail no.
edit: figured it out. for future inquiries its Safari > Preferences > Security Tab and then click show cookies. Scroll down to your website URL, should be listed alphabetically by default.
