World Consitutions website
<a href=“http://koit.pri.ee” title=“World Consitutions”>World Consitutions’ website</a>.
Just redesigned all thing and is running on the Textpattern.
It’s not 100% finished yet. And I still have float problem in gecko browsers: check out the main page and then the second. You’ll notice that content moves to right for a 10px or so. Where’s the issue, not sure…

Re: World Consitutions website
There is no “issue”. Some of the pages have enough content to require a scrollbar, and some don’t. When a scrollbar is needed, Gecko-based browsers narrow the content area of the window to add it, and widen it when it’s not needed. Other browsers always have that space set aside, so there’s no apparent change when they actually start using it.

I remember spending a couple hours once trying to figure out why things were shifting around like that…

Re: World Consitutions website
Yeah, I looked through my css many times and changed few things. Hopefully didn’t screw anything up.
The website is about constitutions of different countries of the world, and all in estonian. So it’s about translations of those constitutions. and they are often translated from several languages (in one case I was told was used german, russian and english to get final translation).
I am from Estonia, it’s near big scary Russia and Finland. You know – the Baltics. And I am like one of the very few web designers around here who appreciate web standards and great graphical design. Hope to get some work from U.S. because around here you can’t make decent buck… Of course I have many things yet to learn and the road to perfection is long way to go…

Re: World Consitutions website
HTML { overflow: -moz-scrollbars-vertical; }
That should force Firefox to always display the scrollbar and so prevent the page shifting.

It may not validate, but it is valid as far as I can work out. See Vendor Specific Css here.

(ps. The one day I spent in Estonia it rained the whole day… but we ate some good cakes while waiting for weather to improve :-)

Re: World Consitutions website
So, you have been to Tallinn? OT, but we have weather very strange here – right now, in October, we usually have cold and rainy, but this year it’s so warm that you can go outside wearing a T-shirt.
