How to put certain news in a section as headline.
I have a section “News” on my website, these news are categorized in economics, lifestyle, sport etc..
Now when I display them, some need to be the headline and display accordingly, on top, it is not really about their content, just about where there should go on the main front page or section front page, however right now i can only achieve that by applying a second categorie headline/notheadline.
I don’t think that categorie are suppose to be use that way, and I would like to know if there is a way in the “proper terpatern syntax way”

You could save the specific articles as “sticky” then call them using
<txp:article status=“sticky” />
or
<txp:article_custom category=“CategoryName” status=“sticky” />
.

Re: How to put certain news in a section as headline.
It was my understanding that the sticky status will remove them from be listed in a nornal article list.
Let’s say I have 1 headline and 2 other news per day, they all belong to the news archive section, i want to be able to generate a page for the specific section with alistof all news, headline or not, tobe able to use the newer/older navigation feature of textpattern.
I might be wrong, but if i put sticky i think it will remove them from this listing.

Yes it takes them out of the normal flow as I understand it too. The article that you want to be the headline. Is it always the latest article in that section?
