Well again a search will use the front-page but there is a <code><txp:if_search></txp:if_search></code> tag so you could split it off again like you have for the category list and style it the way you want. Zem did an article about “search”. Let me go find it. There you go.
You do have an “About” section I presume? Does it use it’s own template. Just check in the “Diagnostics” tab in “Admin” in case you have some old placeholder files in your root. Is your About article attached to the section? Is the site on-line? This would be easier if I could go in and have a look. :)

There you go. Check the extra bit of code I’ve added to tell TXP what to do if you are in the “about” section. :)
You may find later, depending on how big and complex the site becomes, that it would be better to give your “about” section it’s own page template but for now I see no problem with it.
