Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] upm_savenew: "Save New" button for articles and forms.

brilliant!

potential use case (w/ a feature request…):

editting workflow (for corporate site/client):*
  • client organization: boss assigns article editing tasks to junior
  • junior edits and uses ‘save new’; feature requests:
    • variable to control default new article status (draft/hidden/pending/live/sticky)
    • (less important) email notification variable (so boss gets email, reviews, updates the ‘real’/original article

*I’m always frustrated that CMS’ have pre-publishing states/controls, but once something is ‘approved’/published, the author has no restricitions/versioning on edits…

I’m afraid both are not possible – at least, not currently – with a plugin. It requires quite a bit of modification to the core file involved.

This functionality would be extremely useful on the Presentation -> Forms section also! Would you consider adding this to the plugin?

This is really a superb idea! Thank you very much for this plugin and also the great job you are doing with other plugins!

Thanx Mary…
but hmmm… I only get the “save new” button on Presentation -> Forms.
Not in the Write section. Strange… or?

You’d only get it for articles you’re editing…
