Re: WYSIWYG editor
With the Toggle Editor – maybe a javascript alert warning the user that it might muddle Textile pages. Only pops up when the uses clicks the Toggle Editor link with an article open for editing.
or
If you could store an extra field in the DB you could record which editor was used for which article and make the user use the correct one mmm sounds cumbersome…

I’m already using the textile_body field to decide if I should activate the editor on page load, I could use it to entirely disable it.

Re: WYSIWYG editor
I’de like to drop the MCE portion of this editor and just keep the image utility. This app creates some wickedly bad code.

Re: WYSIWYG editor
I updated the plugin to vesion 0.5 and now it will be completely disabled (not even the Toggle Editor link) if you are editing an entry previously created with Textile.
This should solve some confusion by the users.

Re: WYSIWYG editor
Hi.
Nice plugin…very useable for clients with no web editing skills.
I found one problem tho, in Safari 1.3 the plugin does not work. I can see the control panel but it doesnt input anything to textarea.
Tried in FF and woked fine.
Both on Mac
Thanks

As I prevously said, this kind of editors (none of them) will not work in Safari or Opera until they implement the required extensions.

Re: WYSIWYG editor
Is there any way to easily get a larger editor window?
I’m using Wilsire’s rss_admin_resize plugin, but when I use tiny_mce, it resized the window back to a smaller size.

Re: WYSIWYG editor
Request-
I found on the tinymce forums that there is a chunk of code to make this thing XHTML compliant.
Unfortunately I haven’t figure out how to do plugins yet, so I’m requesting it be added to this plugin if at all possible.
Here is the forum post that explains how:

Re: WYSIWYG editor
Anyone have any idea why the ‘toggle editor’ only shows on some articles and not others, even though they were all created with this editor plugin? I’m perplexed.

Re: WYSIWYG editor
So there will be no support for Textile then?? Or is there some way for me to add support for Textile to the editor?? And what are the possibilities for the image-tool, and in special adding the images to the txp database? So there will be no confusion with the authors of the website!

Re: WYSIWYG editor
I’d love to help in any way I can, trnaslating xhtml valid code be it textile or whatever, for a wysiwyg editor – I know i have several clients that would benefit from such a thing.

Re: WYSIWYG editor
I’m not sure if this idea is a little bit crazy: Would there be a possibility to have a wysiwyg editor that produces textile?
Such an editor wouldn’t break any live website, so you could decide at any time whether to use handwritten textile or textile produced by the editor.
The conversion to (X)HTML would be done by Textpattern as usual…

You’ve probably seen textile live preview. I’ve seen a bbcode wysiwyg editor (I think for drupal) so a wysiwyg editor for textile should at least be possible.
