rev.403 changed the “hu” constant. Therefore it is currently not advised to use this plugin with rev403 or newer. The change is very little, and I will update the plugin shortly…

Hi all,
I don’t know if anyone else is having this problem, but when I looked at the sitemap file built by this plugin, I noticed that there was an extra ‘/’ after my domain name and before the section name in each of the loc tags.

So, instead of www.jaydreyer.com/article….
I would get www.jaydreyer.com//article….

I’m assuming this might cause me problems with Google.
To ‘fix’ it, I edited the plugin and removed the ‘/’ that is located near the bottom of the code. There is a comment in the code that explains why the extra ‘/’ is added, so this points out where to remove it.

I don’t know if I have something setup incorrectly, and that is why I get the extra ‘/’, but if anyone else is having that problem, this is a quick fix around it.

No, as I have written in the post just above yours this is due to a change in the code following rev403 (that is RC4, RC5 etc.):

So if you did that change manually – which is not hard – you can keep using it. Don’t worry you haven’t done anything wrong.

I’m using RC5.

between the “loc” the urls have an extra “/” after the site url.

For example: “http://www.example.com//section/ID/article-name”

Yup. The extra / is what we’re talking about. Just change the code as I mentioned above and it will fix this.

hi, google sitemaps is beta. could you please post also your settings for the sitemap, because my sitemap has an ok. my settings are:

Section Change Frequency: daily
Article Change Frequency (Default): weekly
Article Change Frequency (if last modified date of article older than 30 days): yearly

Google told me that Sitemap Errors: Invalid date (Line 16), and it is <code><lastmod>2005-09-01T01:07:39+08:00</lastmod></code>.
