Forum plugin

I’ve made a plugin for my new website inspired by vanilla forum.

It’s plugin that uses the txp database as forum with infinite sub-categories, topics and posts.
The principal reason i made this is that the search of the site is not separated from the forum and the integration is simple.

But i would like ear your opinions on this, it’s nice feature or simply get a vanilla copy or other forum software?

Re: Forum plugin

Do you have an example site? Or a plugin download link? I’m not completely sure what you mean and I think seeing it in action or the code would help me understand better.

Re: Forum plugin

In the backend i was thinking in some basic configs, like topics/posts per page, what forms are used for topics, posts and categories.

Then you just have to create a page and put <txp:forum/> in it.

More to come… :)

Re: Forum plugin

Using txp to build a forum is a great idea.
Wordpress has already done this, so txp needs to keep up ;-)

Re: Forum plugin

I’m interested too if it is a basic and light forum. Some sites needs more than a guestbook and less than a phpBB-like forum… Of courses there are a lot of solutions like Phorum or punBB… but it is possible to integrate perfectly in Txp as a plugin, in the same database it’s great.
