Req for assistance; content negotiation
Hi all,
can someone help me to implement Apache’s Multiviews or equivalent in TxP v4?
I want to make a website with every article available in two languages. The standard way would be to use Multiviews and files with .lang extensions, but this doesn’t work with TxP v4 because we can’t use placeholder files anymore. I’ve got title.lang URLs working (eg /about.en and /about.jp), but want to use a title without a language extension (eg /about) and have it correctly forwarded to the right page based on the user’s browser’s language preferences.
So, does anyone have an alternative suggestion? I guess either a change to TxP’s .htaccess rules that replicates the function of multiviews, or some additional code in SunGodBiff’s sgb_url_handler and sgb_error_documents plugins, neither of which I’m capable of doing. Unfortunately Biff seems to be missing in action, so if anyone could help I’d greatly appreciate it!
Thanks in advance
peace – boblet
