Re: upm_img_popper

Hi Mary! I’m loving your plugin! It makes Txp so easy to use.

Unfortunatelly, I have a small issue of your plugin and kgr_safe_excerpt

When using kgr safe excerpt to strip a teaser, and within the text string ist your plugin-tag, the image caption will be shown, but no image.

I’d prefere to have neither image nor caption. Who could fix the problem or explain a workaround? This forum or kgr_safe_excerpt?

Cheers

Re: upm_img_popper

Yeah there’s really nothing I can do from my end of things, as it would do that for hand-entered html too. I don’t know what Kurt could do, except maybe try and determine if it interrupts a tag, and then strip the rest of the tag.

You might try using this plugin instead.

Re: upm_img_popper

The-Exit: I’m using the pfa_beginning plugin to produce excerpts and it works like a charm, with upm_image_popper installed and all. I had tried kgr_safe_excerpt and found pfa_beginning to be much more friendly.

Re: upm_img_popper

Hi Mary,
Having an issue with my install of the latest version of the plugin. When I set “Show width” to “No” under the plugin preferences in the extensions tab, and hit “Update”, it won’t take the setting. It moves the tick back to “Yes” and that’s that. All of the others set properly; it’s just the one being difficult. Were you aware of this issue?
Thanks,
Matt

Re: upm_img_popper

Another request from a lazy web designer … would it be possible to include an option (for photobloggers) to automatically wrap the image in txp:link_to_prev, /txp:link_to_prev tags so that the pictures are clickable back to the last one?

Or just a generic “wrap tag” box that would accept regular HTML or TXP tags to wrap your images. That would be super flexible and cool. :)

Re: upm_img_popper

While it may look like nothing’s happening, I am hard at work on this as well as upm_file_packets to add a whole whack of new features, so now’s the time to ask away.

Your problem may be a left over from The Great Prefs Switch of ’05. There are also a bunch of bugs I’m fixing or have already fixed with this next release. I don’t remember if I ran into that one, but I’ll check and make sure.

So, I ask a little indulgence while I get this released.

Re: upm_img_popper

Oh and your request: as opposed to using a custom form?

Re: upm_img_popper

Excellent suggestion, Mary. I don’t know why on earth I don’t think to use the custom form more often. In fact, doing so allows me to solve a second problem that I’d been wracking my brains over. Brilliant!

Thanks for putting up with me. ;)

Re: upm_img_popper

Mary,
Could this be a bug?

I updated the plugin and I am getting this returned when I try to validate:

<code> <img src=“http://www.artiswork.org/images/51t.jpg” width=“40” height=“40” class=”.thumb-work“1 />
</code>

Note the “1” after the class? Also it is not outputting the alt text as I had specified?

Any Ideas?

You are going plugin crazy. It makes a lot of lives a lot easier.

Thanks,

matthew

Likely. ;D Can you also post the tag and parameters that returned this?
