Re: mrh_email_article_link

June,

Is the link appearing on a page with a single article only? Based on the URL it looks like an archive.

Re: mrh_email_article_link

Oh, your right, there is more than one article listed on this page. If I goto the single article it validates fine. Is there anything I can do to fix the validation problem?

thanks!

someting like this might fix your validation

<txp:if_individual_article><txp:mrh_email_article_link subject=“read this” /></txp:if_individual_article>

Re: mrh_email_article_link

Thanks Cloak! That doesn’t work for the front pages of my sections (which have info the user may want to email) but its a good starting point.

thanks for your help!

Re: mrh_email_article_link

June,

Once I get the time I will see about possibly expanding the plugin to cover section/category lists. I think it should work, but you may have already identified the bugs — url unencoded ampersands — that will need to be fixed.

Thanks,

Matt

Does this plugin work for 4.0.3?

Re: mrh_email_article_link

Matt, any chance of making the email body a parameter please? For example body=“some text”, and if the parameter is not used the it defaults to the page url as is already the case.

Thanks,
Lee

Sounds like an easy fix—I’ll take a look at it tonight.

Re: mrh_email_article_link

Is this plugin still available? Clicking on the download link in the first post of this thread takes you to a page that says, “Coming soon.” But it has said that for such a long that I’m beginning to think it means, “Never.”

Re: mrh_email_article_link

mrh_email_article_link is back. You can now include your own messages (using the mymessage parameter) and setting the prepend parameter to ‘yes’ will prepend mymessage to the article URL link.

I tested it briefly in 4.0.4 and all seems well, but please let me know if you have any difficulty.

I apologize for accidentally dumping it from the site for a while (this is why I am not a core developer)!
