[archived] dca_pop (easy image links)

Available (zip file) here.

This plugin will generate targeted links to pre-sized popup windows for images uploaded via Textpattern. Here’s an <a target=”_blank” href=“http://textism.com/bucket/alex.jpg” onclick=“window.open(this.href, ‘popupwindow’, ‘width=300,height=400,scrollbars,resizable’); return false;”>example</a>.

You can use either the image name:

<txp:dca_pop name="hugo.jpg">a picture</txp:dca_pop>

or Textpattern’s internal image id:

<txp:dca_pop id="19">another picture</txp:dca_pop>

This works well, but when you have more than one image, in Safari it doesn’t change. You have to close the window first. It works fine in Firebird, though.

Is there an easy way to get thumbnails? I know this was asked recently and I am simply using the XHTML with “t”, but a Textpattern tag would be nice.

Well we don’t have it yet (accountant this morning, real estate agent again this afternoon, hurry up and wait) and I don’t want to jinx it. If we get the house, however I expect there may be some photos :-)

Re: [archived] dca_pop (easy image links)

This plugin, when active, produces the following errors:

Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/www/htdocs/praegnanz.de/textpattern/publish.php on line 744

Warning: plugins() [function.plugins]: Failed opening ‘’ for inclusion (include_path=’‘) in /home/www/htdocs/praegnanz.de/textpattern/publish.php on line 745

Warning: unlink() [function.unlink]: Unable to access in /home/www/htdocs/praegnanz.de/textpattern/publish.php on line 746

Not very nice.

What did I wrong?

Looks like your server has filesystem restrictions that won’t let the current plugin loading method work. This won’t be a problem in g1.19, however.

Re: [archived] dca_pop (easy image links)

Hi !

when using dca_pop to display pictures it happens that the picture not only is displayed in the popup-windows but also in the main-window (seems to happen when opening one popup after the other, closing each one of them before opening the next one.
The problem can be seen <a href=“http://txp.leasingwissen.de/photos/28/schon-7-jahre”>here</A> – there are 3 textlinks opening a popup with the picutre..

Any suggestions as to what may be the reason for that?? Thanx in advance…

Stefan

P.S.: I’m using Firefox 0.8 to render the pages. IE does not seem to have the same prob.

Re: [archived] dca_pop (easy image links)

I got an error from safe_row() on line 843 when using this plugin (with the thumbnail addition)

I also get the following error when I take out the thumbnail addition and just use the pop-up plugin:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: safe_row() in /tmp/pluginsqmLkww on line 67

Re: [archived] dca_pop (easy image links)

I am getting the same problem as sneuweger, meaning the pictures show up in the main-window as well as a popup-window. That means having to close the popup and hitting the back button to get back to the page with the post before being able to move on to the next pic. I am also using Firefox 0.8, and IE 6.0 works fine.

Any idea what might cause this and how to fix it?

Also, would there be a way to make the image itself clickable to close the popup? I know the JBE_DSImage allows me to do that as well as having a Close / Fermer text closer in the popup, and I was wondering if something similar can be done with this popup.

Re: [archived] dca_pop (easy image links)

Any chance you’re using the Tabbrowser Extension? It is known to cause problems with JS’ed popups.
