I remember well when I first discovered Textism.com, Textile and Textpattern a few years ago, one of my late-night tinker-with-my-blog excursions onto the web to find out what other tools were available. It’s been a great ride, Dean. Thanks for giving me such great tools for expressing myself online.

I thought I was caught in a temporal flux and missed the release of three previous versions. But I checked a calendar and decided things were okay after all.
Congratulations to the developers and congratulations to all of us who have been patiently waiting for so very long.

I’m just new, but have read so much in the last 2 weeks and now trying to implement on the first of 4 sites (which are all handcoded ~ asp ~ so far)

I’d have preferred the name Texpattern MX 2005. Or maybe Textpattern CS. Purely for snark value.
But I’ll take Textpattern 4!

Thank you, it’s been great following this progress. I came across TXP when seeing the screenshots of some gamma version back in the days and signed up for the notification list (never gotten a mail from that yet though, anyone else who has..?) so this is a great day in some way. Just blogged about it on my MT-run blog, which I’ll be glad to convert to TXP once I figure out how to preserve the URLs and redirect them properly (ideas very much welcome!)
