Do any of those other creaking sounds have to do with clean titled url’s? : )

Re: Multiple Textpatterns

This raises an interesting issue – what is the plural form of Textpattern?

  • Textpatterns
  • Textpatti
  • Text..?

Re: Multiple Textpatterns

Ah, no, I have it. There is no plural form.

It’s two installations of Textpattern! ;)

btw, as a random aside, according to Macromedia’s trademark and brand usage guidelines, it’s not permitted to use the possessive noun with the product name Dreamweaver. Try writing an entire book about Dreamweaver without saying “Dreamweaver’s”. It’s hard.

But I digress.

Re: Multiple Textpatterns

I prefer textpatti :-)

“I have 3 taxtpatti, baby!”

Great pick-up line…. ;-)

Re: Multiple Textpatterns

Just use the archaic origin of our possesive contractions:

“And now, using Dreamweaver his new features…”

Re: Multiple Textpatterns

i have tried to setup 2 textpatterns, 1 in http_docs/textpattern/ and the other http_docs/textpattern2/

when i go to install the second database, and run the textpattern setup i get:

“Looks like Textpattern is already installed. If you want to make a clean install, please remove config.php from your /textpattern/ directory and try again.”

so does this mean i can only have 1???? both databese names are different and i even tried to cheat by settin up the 2nd database with phpMyAdmin.

any suggestions as to how i could get this to work… i want 2 different domains running off the same host (mine allows it!)

Re: Multiple Textpatterns

When you set out to install Textpattern, there is no config.php in the textpattern directory. You have to put it there during the installation process.

If there is a config.php in the directory, it assumes you have already installed it. That’s what happened in your case. Delete the config.php in the directory and then you can proceed to install. Make sure to choose different table-prefixes during installation, if you install to the same database. (Yes, you can have “unlimited” Textpattern isntallations ine one database, by using different prefixes for each one).
