REQ: Insert Rating Plugin
Ok I’ve thought about this again and still think it would be nice if there was an easy way to do this. Two ways this could go.
Method one:
Upload images for the rating to a image category called RatingImages
In article form insert where you want the called to <code><txp:rating /></code>
Drop down menu is inserted in the write area with ratings based on the number of images uploaded to the cat sorted in alphabetical order.
User selects drop down menu and choose the rating.
Upon selection a popup appears saying success and rating is added
Optional:
Ability to repeat call to rating tag anywhere
Use of thumbnail or smaller version
Can add label – Our rating: for example – preceeding rating
Can add total output – “4 out 5 Tomatoes” for example – proceeding rating
Ability to wrap in a tag
There was a second idea, but I’ve forgotten.
So what do you think? I can’t do it myself though, no clue on what does what and how it works together. Too hard to build? Complications?
Cheers

You can look up tom’s tcm_ratinginput. This is a rating plugin. I have it installed but have not messed around with it yet so do not know if it has the features your looking for.

Re: REQ: Insert Rating Plugin
I’m using Textpattern · 4.0.1 and this plugin doesn’t work. The database reflects the correct information, but the output on the webpage is always 0 for the rating score.

Re: REQ: Insert Rating Plugin
has there been any progess on a plugin than can output ratings?
I’ve thought of another way.
What if custom fields were used to call specific ratings as images?
So if in the custom field I type 5 it displays an image with 5 stars, or 4.5 then it displays an image of 4.5 stars. the images i would create and name aptly.
any thoughts on this from anyone if this would work?
thanks in advance
