Easy Random CSS Backgrounds

I wrote up this brief tutorial in response to someone’s question on the forum. It covers how to easily create random css backgrounds with the Automatic Labs rotator.php…

Let me know if you find it helpful by leaving a comment at the end of the article. Thanks.

Re: Easy Random CSS Backgrounds

Nathan,

What about your random flicrk? Are you using the same script? Or a plugin? I’m helping a photographer friend put together a web site and this would be a nice addition.

Thanks!

Re: Easy Random CSS Backgrounds

Soulship: Sorry it’s taken me so long to get back to you. Life’s been hectic, started a new job / moved across the country, etc – and, forgot to check TXP forums.

The JavaScript I’m using for my Flickr photos can be downloaded from Flickr itself. Just do a search on Flickr for “badge”. I should mention though, that sometimes the random photo script takes a really long time to generate the photos, so I’ve since switched over to “latest” instead of “random” in my script. I hope that clears some things up.

Re: Easy Random CSS Backgrounds

You can also use vdh_flickr to generate a random list of photos. Just look at the demo.
