[request] Comment Mod (to gather specific other info)
I wish, I wish that I could customize the comment form to gather specific info.
So instead of just ‘message’ you might have a field labelled “what do you think about x?” and another “Do you believe y?” Basically a form whose output could appear on the site.
Possible? Interesting? I have seen a couple requests for this on the boards, but no solution for someone uncomfortable with messing around in the existing files.

You can already do that. Open the form called comment_form and look out for the TXP-tags called <txp:text item="foo" />. These are the labels for the fields. Just replace them with your own ideas.

I think she wants to be able to add custom inputs, rather than renaming existing ones.

yup, I’d like to ask a series of questions. I also remember seeing a post where someone wanted to be able to gather the country the commenter came from…
