Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] vdh_flickr
This version is not online yet! This was only an explaination what you can expect in the next release.
I can send you a current version by email, though.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] vdh_flickr
I would love to get it as well because I also prefer the manual “form” way. ;)

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] vdh_flickr
Another thing. I still don’t feel comfortable with putting code into an article. I thought this would be one of the reasons why we use content management systems in general: to separate code from content and formatting.
Or am I getting anything wrong?

@macsepp:
You have mail. Just install a current version of the plugin and then replace the code by the php file I sent you (admin->plugins->edit).
I created another Demo which looks quite different from the other ones. Check it out <a href=“http://www.rvdh.net/vdh_flickr/Demo3”>here</a>.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] vdh_flickr
Anyone managed to get this working on barclay-new yet? Everything works for me but viewing the individual photos, when I try that I get a Safari can't open the page because there wasn't any data available error.

I’m running the stable release on barclay-new, with the same problem.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] vdh_flickr
If it helps, I’m also using textpattern out of subversion, rev. 300. Neither clean nor messy mode works. I have an api key and I’ve tried both the email in the tag and the plugin itself.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] vdh_flickr
Matt and misterk, I guess you are using a beta version of vdh_flickr. I’ve experienced this problem, too, when using vdh_flickr inside vdh_flickr_if_img. I will investigate this, but because it does not output anything (you get a blank page in firefox), I think I’ll be having a hard time finding the error.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] vdh_flickr
Hello guys!
It’s Saturday, and I just had some time to work on the plugin. I’ve put 0.8beta2 online, along with an updated documentation.
As far as I’ve tested, 0.8beta2 is as stable as 0.7.1 if you use it like 0.7.1, without the form features.
One important change though: I’ve been working on the speed of the plugin, and I’ve found out that each request to flickr takes between 0.5 and 0.9 seconds. In order to improve the speed of the plugin, you should use nsid=“your_nsid” instead of email=“your_email”. This saves one request per page impression, because your nsid does not have to be looked up by vdh_flickr any more. Using email=”…” still works, but is slower.
Form mode is hardly documented at the moment, maybe I will have time to do this on Sunday. But I hope you can guess, what most of the tags do.

Works great on barclay. Thanks, Ralph!

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] vdh_flickr
Hello!
I hope you didn’t get familiar with the way forms are handled currently. It’s too complicated. Version 0.8beta3 has a much easier way to deal with forms.
Here is what I used on the vdh_flickr page, Demo2:
In the article (you can also put it in a page template):
<code>
<p>This imitates the html of <a href=“http://www.andreas-kalt.de/fotos/”>http://www.andreas-kalt.de/fotos/</a>.</p>
<p>Made with vdh_flickr 0.8 beta.</p>
<txp:vdh_flickr_env nsid=“43973976@N00” set_form=“preview” thumbnails_form=“thumbnails” open=“window” thumbnail_size=“m” clean_urls=1 />
<txp:vdh_flickr_if_preview>
<h2>Schöne Eindrücke</h2>
</txp:vdh_flickr_if_preview>
<txp:vdh_flickr />
</code>
form preview:
<code>
<div class=“imgContainer odd”>
<h2><txp:vdh_flickr_set_link><txp:vdh_flickr_set_title /></txp:vdh_flickr_set_link></h2>
<txp:vdh_flickr_set_link><txp:vdh_flickr_set_img /></txp:vdh_flickr_set_link>
<p><txp:vdh_flickr_set_description /></p>
<p class=“readOn”><txp:vdh_flickr_set_link>Fotos ansehen »</txp:vdh_flickr_set_link></p>
<hr />
</div>
</code>
form thumbnails:
<code>
<div class=“imgContainer”>
<h2><txp:vdh_flickr_thumbnails_title /></h2>
<div class=“rssThumbFloat”>
<txp:vdh_flickr_thumbnails_list />
</div>
<br style=“clear: both;” />
</code>
I think this is more intuitive than before. This was inspired by Andreas. No time any more, gotta go to party…

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] vdh_flickr
howdy
is this not the correct code for sizing a set? Got the images but still teeny tiny.
txp:vdh_flickr_thumbnails nsid=“68254656@N00” set=“288926” thumbnail_size=“o” /
with the< >, of course…
http://www.projectredbird.com/?s=images
also, when I click on an image to get a fullsize, I get a 404…what might I be doing wrong?
cheers!
