Already done after RC3 first revisions :)

Re: Txp 1.0 RC3 Available
I’m happy to see such great progress with Textpattern. I have a question and a problem.
Question:
Is XML-RPC supported natively in this version? I’d like to use MarsEdit or Ecto with with TXP. Currently Jon Hicks wrote up something about it and I’ve played with that but I’m hoping some solid support in this version.
Problem:
I guess my problem is I don’t work with the command at all so when I tried the following:
<code>svn co http://textpattern.com/svn/repos/current/</code>
I got back the following response:
<code>tcsh: svn: Command not found.</code>
Can someone explain what i’ve done wrong? I’m eager to try out the new features in TXP. Thanks.

jheyer: Looks like the Subversion client isn’t installed on whatever computer you were using to do the download.
You cooin’ with my bird?

Re: Txp 1.0 RC3 Available
Woo-hoo! Amazing!
Good thing I checked in before trying to modify the backend myself.
Any updates on a release date?

Still several bugs floating around, and I believe one feature to be added. So my guess would be, not these days.

Re: Txp 1.0 RC3 Available
Added a function which will translate i18n characters to their ascii equivalents (é -> e, ä -> a) for url titles; previously these were simply stripped or displayed as clipped unicode entities
is there a way to change these characters in section names aswell?

Re: Txp 1.0 RC3 Available
I don’t think anyone has anykind of idea right now. If we continue to discover new bugs, that can take a long time. But I will be very surprised if 1.0 final isn’t release by mid-march, at max by the end of the month (not educated, personnal guess).

Re: Txp 1.0 RC3 Available
I’m holding off on a new website launch until 1.0 is released (and then I get to have fun customizing all those plugins and hacks I made— doh). Hopefully it’ll be out within a week or so. Although there are no problems with the current version I’m using, it’s always nice to have the most recent version

Re: Txp 1.0 RC3 Available
Any chance of someone making a zip file out of the latest rc3 so I can get my website launched? I’ve been waiting and waiting and the end of the month is just too long. It is now 6 months since rc1 was released as being almost the done deal. Dean said it was almost a lock so why the delay?
