Re: Something like a schedule ...

I’m working on this in my ‘off-time’ this week and should have something for everyone by the weekend.

Re: Something like a schedule ...

No rush, but I’m interested to see what you have come up with.

I’m planning on rewriting my plugin soon it’s hard to use in a productive way at the moment. I have some great idea how to improve things.

Re: Something like a schedule ...

Ok guys I just wanted to drop in and let you know that I’ll have this done Monday, Tuesday at the latest. Sorry for the delay, but last week we found out my wife is pregnant with our first child so things have been a bit of a blur around here :D Hope everyone understands.

hey, that’s two lots of great news!
Have fun watching that “bit of a blur” on the u-scan paper grow over the next few months ;-) and look forward to your article too when you get the time!

Re: Something like a schedule ...

txfrog: Congratulations on the new addition! That’s wonderful. :)

And I’d like to second (or third, fourth, whatever) everyone’s excitement about your plugin work on this subject. I expect to be beginning a project within the next few weeks to which this scheduling functionality will prove invaluable. I’m very much looking forward to it.

Thanks!

Re: Something like a schedule ...

Thanks to everyone who have emailed me and posted with their congrats. The last two weeks have been wild and exciting to say the least, and tomorrow I will post the write up for the calendar and my plugin (I would do it today but I’m in the middle of my niece’s 3rd birthday party).

Thanks again for all of the support for both my growing family and the plugin work.

Re: Something like a schedule ...

Will you be posting it here, or elsewhere? Is your CityGuide web site the only one you have, or do you run a personal site as well for things such as this?

Re: Something like a schedule ...

Sorry everyone, I’ll need to postpone the post until after work tomorrow. We spent the better part of today morning the loss of our family dog who we had to put down this morning.

theturninggate, I don’t have a personal blog (yet, I’m working on one) so I will post the write up here in this thread, start a new plugin thread that explains the plug-in and post in the main plug-in sticky.

Re: Something like a schedule ...

Hi txfrog,

I’m sorry to hear about your dog. I know what that’s like, having lost my cat of 15 years in 2003. No loss has ever been so painful to me. My condolences to you and your family.

Re: Something like a schedule ...

theturninggate: thanks, it was a rough start to the week, but I think I got everyone on track.

I’ve started a new thread for the plugin, and I think I’ll wait to go into further detail until everyone has a check to read through the post and check out the plugin for themselves.

smf_eventarticle discussion

I’m going to post the code from my calendar page to help clarify the plugin’s use and functionality within my site, as well as clear up a few issues the calendar plugin has when it comes to validation.
