Re: rc2 and 1.0
Now, this is fast going off topic, but…
Seems the Jimmy Dean folks took his ugly mug off their website, or it was never there. I can’t find it anyway. Probably a good thing.
The advertising on the site’s pretty funny though — or maybe not in America. But really:
Jimmy Dean griddle cake sandwiches…easy to eat pancakes and sausage.
A relief to know they’re “easy to eat”. I sure hate choking down those “real bitch to eat” pancakes.

Re: rc2 and 1.0
Could someone, then, please inform Mr. Dean that those neat software “boxes” for final online distros are Photoshop creations?

Re: rc2 and 1.0
I too looked for Jimmy’s ugly mug and got way-layed by some of the products available. I know it’s American but you’d think they would be careful about some of the names they give products. I don’t think I will be partaking in any of Jimmy’s “Sausage Log”! (The images that name brings to mind are totally off-putting.) I did spot the link to SaraLee which we do have here. (That’s England, by the way, not Britain.)
And I thought the whole point was to go “off-topic”.

Re: rc2 and 1.0
There’s actually an attempt by Sara Lee to cut Mr. Dean loose and let the sausage run free! free! with no washed-up country music singer dragging down the brand. He’s fighting it in court.
Says Dean: “the company told me they were trying to attract the younger housewife and they didn’t think I was the one to do that.”
The obvious question, then, is who would attract the younger housewife? Can I get a little focus group action while we wait on the other, less pork-oriented Dean?

Re: rc2 and 1.0
Perhaps Tim McGraw or any other of country music’s younger male singers. Although, I wonder how eager any of them are to have their name and likeness associated with sausage. Then again …

Re: rc2 and 1.0
Something strange has happened to the textpattern home page, I not quite sure if it indicates progression or regression but you can download gamma 1.19?
Either a new page it about to take its place or I have seen the future and it is bright and scary all at the same time.

Re: rc2 and 1.0
Laz, you’re just toyin’ with us, aintcha pard? Ah sure-as-hell cain’t see no goddam gamma, just that good ol’ boy “1.0rc1 (20 Sept)”.
In fact, Ah’m a thinkin’ “1.0rc1” oughta be re-named “Textpattern Classic” ‘cause at least it works an’ you can git it — not like this here goddam legend “Textpattern v1.0”.
If’n ah was a real nasty fella — you know, a goddam “tactical infrastructure architect” or some damn thing — I’d say that there “v” in “v1.0” stands for “vaporware”. But I know that ain’t true ‘cause no matter what folks a’ bin saying, that there Dean fella sure-as-hell ain’t no “vaporware”. Ah mean them goddam dogs gotta count for sumthin’, right?

Re: rc2 and 1.0
I was installing some sites on Dreamhost a few weeks ago, and I had my workstation set to use their local dns servers. For that entire period, everytime I went to Textpattern.com, I saw the download page from last summer.
I assumed the server ip must have changed at some point and Dreamhost didn’t update for some reason.
