Re: rc2 and 1.0

It’s really gotten quite rediculous now.

Yep. 19926 as of now. That’s a buttload of referrers that I wouldn’t want to plow through.

woah.. that’s not a good choice of words, let me rephrase… That’s a whole lot of referrers that I wouldn’t want to plow through.

Yeah, well, I didn’t like to highlight how completely wrong I was. And really, thanks for pointing that out, lex…

Re: rc2 and 1.0

Aaaagh what the hell.

I was going to wait until the <a href=“http://forum.textpattern.com/viewtopic.php?id=3” title=“One year ago the TxP Forum was born”>14th</a> to make a one year anniversary post about the forum being open for… well… one year. Grab all the stats, yada yada. But I’m wondering if Monsieur Allen is waiting to release V1 on the anniversary. If that’s the case I’d like to make a suggestion.

Dean, release V1 NOW. We’ll throw a party on the 14th with hats and stats and goodies for the kiddies. We’ll all log on to the forum and see how many people we can squeeze into the logged in area at the bottom of the main page. Kinda like how many people can you get in a VW.

PeterS, just for that, I am going to keep my explanation of how the name is derived from Sausage Legend Jimmy Dean and Television Personality Byron Allen to myself.

So there.

Re: rc2 and 1.0

For the Brits and others outside the USA, Jimmy Dean is a very well known sausage brand over here. The man himself looks as if he has endured many failed attempts at plastic surgery to the degree that when I first moved over here and saw his ugly mug on the TV, I had to turn away! He could possibly be a wonderful chap but I think he should be prohibited from going outside during daylight, for fear of scaring women, children and horses!
