Re: rc2 and 1.0

Unless I’m looking in the wrong place, it doesn’t look like there have been any checkins since mid-november: revisons

Anyone know if I’m looking in the wrong place and if we’re still on for that magical date of 1/10? I’m wodering if I should hold off on a new install I need to do if there’s going to be a bunch of changes before the 1.0 release.

Looking forward to 2005: year of the text!

Re: rc2 and 1.0

You are correct, there have been no commits in a while. I’m guessing that either Dean has another svn he uses, or he became side tracked.

Re: rc2 and 1.0

Doesn’t look like we’re likely to see 1.0 Today.

Damn. (But is anyone genuinely suprised)

Yeah. Especially since it’s only 5 or 6AM in France right now. It should have been up hours ago.

Re: rc2 and 1.0

And so it begins.

Can we complete the irony and have complaints about the lack of 1.0 release appear in the fake thread in the Announcements Forum whose subject line claims 1.0 is out?

I think that’s all that’s left to hope for on the web, that the ironies be as perverse as possible.

Re: rc2 and 1.0

Is there some app that’ll download something at a time I tell it to?
See, I have trouble being in two places at once… And I figured that Dean should have already uploaded it by around noon my time.
I’m using windows, by the way. Heck, if that doesn’t work, gimme a Mandrake 10.1 app, I don’t care!

It’s 3:45 p.m. (15:45) in France and there’s 17 registered users on the horn (more than I’ve ever seen before). Sharks smell the blood?

“Sharks smell the blood?”

They’ll begin to bare their teeth.

Re: rc2 and 1.0

January 11, 00::14 this side of the sun :-)
(night, rain snow, storm wind. Cold).

Ending down the day. Maybe I’ll wake up in the morning with a new toy to play with.

Re: rc2 and 1.0

Great to see so many people ready to roll. Yes, we’re at the ‘magical’ January 10th, and things were looking good until half our family (myself included) got hit with a rather hard-working and prolific case of stomach flu yesterday. So it’s all clear tea, weak soup and pink elephants flying around the room until that passes. There are perhaps those who can code and barf at the same time, I’m just not one of them.

Re: rc2 and 1.0

It’s the only thing going around this year that so far has missed us. Everyone my wife works with has had it.

I added The Arcade Fire’s Funeral to that mix when I was afflicted a couple of weeks ago. Still not sure if it was a good idea.

Unfortunately, I think that far too many are willing to code and barf at the same time. That’s how MS Frontpage was made, wasn’t it?

Get well, Dean. I can wait for barf free code.
