Are link_to_next and next_title context-sensitive?

Are link_to_next and next_title context sensitive, meaning they will only fetch content from the section or category being viewed?

For example, if I am in the articles section and I use link_to_next and link_to_previous, I will never see articles that live in other sections?

Re: Are link_to_next and next_title context-sensitive?

Well, I did not have a test installation where I could test this out, but now I do, and yes, these are context sensitive. Because of course they are.

I added the note about being context sensitive to the docs using the same format used by the older/newer tags. Hopefully that’s useful.

Thank you so much. The docs need updating quite heavily after the 4.9 release. I’m slacking so the help is gratefully appreciated.
