Firefox wants to connect to several adresses before URL is entered
Before I even enter a URL, my firewall reports attempts for Firefox to connect to certain websites, but only for one certain profile in Firefox. These attempts are always among the three listed below but not each time all are queried, sometimes it’s only one, sometimes two of them, but always these:
destination: vqggwrz.pa-cd.com
destination: collect.tealiumiq.com
destination: player.h-cdn.com
always for
direction: outgoing
port: 443
protocol: any
There is (seems to be!) no open window in the background, neither Firefox’s window menu nor my shareware window switcher show any entry. Does anybody know what might be going on here or maybe can name a keyword I can search for?

tealium shows this text about their goal on their website:
Get traditional client-side data collection capabilities with our industry-leading TMS to manage data through tags, javascript, pixels, etc.

A wild guess: Maybe a firefox plugin? Or some other service on your computer that acts on the browser (pw-manager, adblocker, userstyles, …?)

Re: Firefox wants to connect to several adresses before URL is entered
Great to have another pair of eyes, thanks! Active are only Privacy Badger and Cookie Auto Delete, but I’ve some less or more suspicious plugins that are currently deactivated: Addy.io, Simple Login, Stylus and the unevitable Adobe Acrobat. Will have to try and delete the email address helpers, they’re offering services “for free”, so it might be they let us pay with some data. Stylus? After one of the updates? Maybe. Acrobat can’t be removed. Else the profile is really slim, no theme, no special extensions except for the standard two, OpenH264 and Widevine Content Decryption.
Can the presence of a bookmark try and make a connection? Its icon, perhaps, or is it always stored locally?

Those would work on other browser profiles as well, wouldn’t they?
