“Added: Ability to output thumbnails of any supported format from the original full-size uploaded image.”

You did it, Stef! That’s a very excellent feature. I do not know any other CMS in a such possibility. That’s perfect. Thank you so much.

Re: Feedback: Textpattern CMS 4.9.1 released

I did a fresh install of v4.9.1 via FTP, and everything went well. After the installation, I accessed the admin panel, where I checked the Diagnostics panel, but there were no errors. Then I went back to my home page (https://www.petrion-genealogy.nl/), which also worked fine. Now I wanted to return to the admin (backend), but I can’t get there. Does anyone have any ideas what’s wrong here?

You’re welcome. It’ll be even better when I can get the file extension to follow suit. Hopefully I can fix that.

Many thanks to Stef, Pete and others for the flawless 4.9.1 release. I am especially interested in any feedback from MariaDB users, that should be welcome onboard again.

Thanks again, Stef.

This website converts all images to WebP format. The total page size has been cut in half! 🤓

Note that the download link for the covers provides a JPEG copy (for easier future use). 👌

Re: Feedback: Textpattern CMS 4.9.1 released

I just installed a fresh 4.9.1 Textpattern default site. But in navigating to the Home or Articles tabs, there’s no welcome message as per usual as the default article. The default article is in Content> Articles, but is not rendered on the front page. Has something changed?

Re: Feedback: Textpattern CMS 4.9.1 released

This is odd. New upgrade from 4.8.8 to 4.9.1, I’m getting:

8192 "Function strftime() is deprecated"
in /path/to/public_html/textpattern/lib/txplib_misc.php at line 2878.

textpattern/lib/txplib_misc.php:2878 adminErrorHandler()
textpattern/include/txp_prefs.php:851 safe_strftime()
textpattern/include/txp_prefs.php:428 dateformats()
textpattern/include/txp_prefs.php:308 pref_func()
textpattern/include/txp_prefs.php:49 prefs_list()
textpattern/index.php:220 include()

Repeated over and over on the Prefs panel. The Articles list panel too. And also on the front-end when the <txp:posted /> tag is encountered…. but not for all formats. The format="iso8601" doesn’t trigger it, but omitting the format does. Which uses the Date format (Archive Date format?) value in the prefs. Which are set to ‘Since’ and ‘%d %B %Y’ respectively.

I don’t think it’s a plugin (I’ve searched for strftime in the code and disabled any plugins that contain it).

What gives? Anyone any clues?
