Mastodon Verification Code Placement

Hello!

I’d like to link my Mastodon account with my Textpattern website. This requires me placing a bit of html code in the `header` of the Textpattern site.

Which directory and .html file would I place this in?

Thank you!

Re: Mastodon Verification Code Placement

Hi and welcome.

Assuming you’re using something similar to the stock theme, visit the Presentation > Pages panel from the Textpattern admin back-end. Load the default template for editing, by clicking its name from the sidebar.

In the textarea, you should see an opening <head> tag and, somewhere further down, a closing </head> tag.

Add a blank line immediately above the closing tag, paste in the <link rel="me" href=...> tag that Mastodon supplied, then save the template. That should do the trick.

Great! That’s what I needed to know. Working like a charm. Thanks Bloke!
